🟡 Today is World Bee Day—honoring Anton Janša, a Carniolan painter turned imperial beekeeper. He lived only 39 years, but like the bees he studied, his short life pollinated entire systems.

🐝 Bees live just weeks—but without them, life collapses.No bees → no crops → no people.Small beings. Massive consequence.

I feel this deeply.My roots lie in the Carpathians, once part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire like Janša’s homeland.Mountain people. Bee people. Survival people.

🌼 May 20 is also my late sister’s birthday.She was the fifth child—the only girl at the time. She passed young.I came next, and eventually, another sister joined us.Her life was short—but like the bees, it changed everything.
